To memorialize the legacy of the class of 1985 at Brainerd High School, we'd like to create a scholarship fund with the Brainerd Public Schools Foundation to support the success of BHS graduates into the future. Our goal is to award a Class of 1985 scholarship of at least $250 to one student recipient each year. We will establish a committee of class members to develop the scholarship criteria, which can change each year, change periodically or remain consistent over time. We can begin awarding scholarships when the fund reaches $3,000; when it reaches $6,250, it will be endowed and sustain annual scholarships into the future. If we exceed this goal, we will set aside dollars for project grants for teachers and staff of Brainerd High School. Donate once, donate often, in any amount. We will promote the scholarship and collect donations continuously at least until we reach our $6250 goal. When you donate, you'll have the opportunity to express interest in participating on the scholarship committee that will set the criteria and work to operationalize the scholarship.
